Saturday, 29 October 2011

Winless Ruston Sports kicked off in a determined fashion against a young Sleaford side whose only win this season had come at the expense of Ruston In August. However the domination did not help as Sleaford took the lead through Rivett who finished well after an initial header by him could only be parried by Clifton in the Rustons goal. Sleaford increased their lead after 15 minutes when a defensive mix up allowed Ginniff to nip in and finish well. However Rustons keep on playing with a purpose and got a goal back after 30 minutes when the ball was weld held up by Awolaja who laid of for debutant Twagira to finish with a low drive. Twagira then turned the provider two minutes before the half for Awolaja to tap in and meaning that the sides went in level at the break. With Rustons attacking down the hill in the second half they really took the game to Sleaford and for the next twenty minutes a devastating spell saw them score six goals with no reply.Twagira started the rout finishing well after the ball was not cleared following a Forbes free kick. Forbes then scored himself heading in after a superb Coulson cross. Hutton, twice and Forbes then added to the lead before the scoring was finished with Twagira completing his hat trick by rounding the keeper and finishing with ease. Rustons saw out the last twenty minutes and therefore picked up their first league win of the season
