The match started in bright October sunshine in front of a crowd of which 80% were United supporters. They where rewarded within the first minute when Paul Watts scored from the kick-off with a shot into the corner of the net from outside the area. For the next 30 minutes United had control of the match without being able to add to the score. During this period Ben Davison was in control at the back and Dan Stevens had a quite period in goal dealing with the odd cross. Then 15 minutes to half-time inter -play between Ben Drysdale and Arron Scutt resulted in latter crossing for Andy Reeson in firing home from the edge of the area. United went in a half-time in a commanding position.
Within 5 minutes of the re-start Kurt Crossley increased the lead scoring after some neat footwork. However, just before Moorlands had hit the post after a thought ball, but had looked in an off-side position. Then Scutt had a shot saved by the home keeper, and at this stage Mark Hallam replaced Joby Gowshall. Within 5 minutes Paul Watts had scored number four after a United corner had only been half cleared and Watts fired home from 10 yards. Within a couple of minutes Callum Hyland was replaced by Dan Starkey and then Mark Hallam fired over the bar. Within a minute Kurt Crossley was brought down in the box after a jinking run and Paul Watts fired home the penalty. In another 3 minutes United had six on the board when Starkey played in Kurt Crossley who lobbed the keeper has he came of his line. In between these goals Dan Stevens had to come of his line twice to save with his feet from home forwards which resulted in corners for the home side. Moorlands could not take advantage of these corners. The final action of the game resulted in Crossley firing over the bar from 5 yards. The match ended with another 3 points and 12 goals in the last two league gaimes.
